Since learning new things (and the curiosity drive) share the same neural pathways as sexual pleasure, it would seem attractive to want to learn new things.
I simply don’t understand why so many are curiosity inhibited.
Is there a connection between despising learning and a deformed sexuality?

We can rethink our assumptions: “The ‘everyone’s a bit autistic’ myth can be actively harmful. It’s often used to dismiss the challenges we face or to argue that autistic people don’t really need support.” By @draimeegrant.bsky.social:

Everyone isn’t ‘a little bit autistic’ – here’s why this notion is harmful
This casual phrase might seem harmless but it misunderstands what autism really is and can do real harm to autistic people.

An autism diagnosis helped Laurie Penny make sense of their experiences, but its real value was in helping them understand the rest of society

So much of what we do in life is motivated by fear and anger. I get it.
Our ancestors rightly feared messing with cave bears. And we ought to be angry with those who kick us in the shin for no good reason.
My hope is you live long enough to be primarily motivated by a fearless love for others.

Why do aging men put dye in their beards?
While I get the brazen vanity, I wonder if these dudes realize on any level - putting dye in one’s beard makes a man look wretched.
It doesn’t fool anyone, and it communicates to those who look at you that you’re fragile.

In the context of my work over the last decade, it may be that I need to understand something about “compassion fatigue”.
Does anyone have any resources, well written articles or anything else I might take a look at?
Not asking for a friend.

🎯 All those things PBS taught us about the beauty of diversity, the importance of inclusivity, love, compassion, friendship... It all just went over their heads. The regime champions cruelty, exclusion, racism, and authoritarianism.

What’s the word from the BlueSky community?
Trim his facial fur back a bit or just leave it over hung and cute?

While I am no friend of actual terrorists, I believe dropping a precision bomb on an apartment building to get one “bad guy” is brutal. The elderly, children and disabled living there did not deserve such a wretched, and wicked act.

Leaning into my diversive curiosity, I stopped for a moment this morning to observe the floating particles near the window in my Portland study.
I imagined colorful little creatures riding on each particle, with a qualified pilot reminding them to keep their hands inside the particle at all times.
