Extremely sad to see the further erosion - Thorpeness is a much loved village on Suffolk's Heritage Coast. Being just a short distance from the Sizewell nuclear complex, it is no surprise that many question the wisdom of building a new nuclear power station, Sizewell C, on this stretch of coastline

Shooting hares will finally be banned for most of the year, and a ban on trail hunting will be announced Monday as part of a package of animal welfare measures

Will the govt also move to ban or license grouse & pheasant shooting…?

It's ridiculous that the Government *still* haven't banned the sale of peat.

Peat bogs are still getting dug up and used for compost and in horticulture. Ministers say they'll ban it 'when time allows'.

Get on with it already! Sign the petition:

It appears that with each high tide, the sea is edging ever closer to these temporary sea defences at the Sizewell C site. The eroding dunes do not bode well for the permanent sea defences that will need to keep the site safe for the next 150yrs till all the spent fuel is removed!

So why has the UK Govt refused to invest in Brazil's fund to save tropical rainforests?

& why no mention of Britain's temperate rainforests?
