You'd think the fact that the Russian constitution already says invading countries is illegal would mean we have no need to sign yet another treaty promising we won't invade countries.

But you would be wrong.

When a major media outlet openly capitulates to the political agenda of the executive branch, they are no longer part of the fourth estate.

They are state-run media.

Add Bari Weiss and CBS to the list of those who have betrayed our Republic.

🚨 The DOJ appears to have redacted Donald Trump’s name from the allegations made in this exhibit in the Epstein files.

Trump’s name was in the original release. Now, it’s blacked out.

See for yourself.

Today is 92nd anniversary of Holodomor. Soviet Russia inflicted a man made famine on Ukraine that killed millions. Today we are trying to wipe the country off the map.

The only difference is the USA is on our side now.

None of this is happening in the Orthodox Church, especially not adopting pre-Vatican II theology.

Please, my brothers and sisters, do not try to explain the doctrine of a church you've never attended
You should be concerned. It's not the faith that's attracting them it's the older rituals and traditions that Catholics dumped after Vatican II. The older style Mass, women covering their hair, all the things they can try to use in a toxic way.

People who advocate for electing the president by popular really are saying that federalism shouldn't matter - largely because they like the way that big cities would control elections. (For now.) This is dumb, especially now, when federalism has been a godsend.
A thread.

Let me just save us all hours and say that nothing any of us are proposing here - including me - will likely happen in the next decade or longer, so if you want to defeat Trumpism, you're gonna have to understand, and use, the system that's in place.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The most important thing to remember about all this fantasy-engineering of the Constitution is Madison's warning: If we suck as a people, no clever constitutional schemes will save us.

This is a new and dire development in the ongoing American constitutional crisis. The voters, Congress, and, yes, the U.S. military must all now be more vigilant than at any time in our modern history.

Reading replies to your posts is depressing. Many people seem *unwilling* to understand your point and insist on clinging to a false and dramatic view of where we are. The game is not over, but there IS alot of work to do, and I worry that the prevalence of such attitudes will make it harder.

I will put this on QT to remind everyone that I have repeatedly called Trump a fascist, but rejected the argument that America is now a fascist state.
I suspect people know I've said this, and just keep ignoring it, because the need for drama is greater than the need for precision.
So it seems that, objectively, this pre-Trump dictionary definition of "fascist" describes the Trump philosophy and system very accurately, better than other terms that are frequently suggested (e.g. "authoritarian", "totalitarian", etc.) So let's just call Trump a fascist already. It is what it is.

I think it's illegal under US and international law, and the people of this country could put a stop to it if they wanted to. That's why it's an "illiberal" democracy: Because enough people actually support this.
And voting can stop it, which is why we're not a fascist state.
And this, I guess, is just "illiberal" if you want it to be?
