I took a little time away from my desk this morning to watch an amazing human being take on a feat of endurance - but for love, and compassion, not kudos or ego. The fabulous Kevin Sinfield came through my little town, on his way to 7 ultramarathons in 7 days.

Well, I found juggling so many things (including social media) as I found my feet as a #PhD student a little tricky, so for once I prioritised (go me!)
But now I'm back, as I'm at a stage in my research where social media could be a useful tool.

Well, I found juggling so many things (including social media) as I found my feet as a #PhD student a little tricky, so for once I prioritised (go me!)

Received a copy of a book that I looked over a draft of the #tinnitus and #hyperacusis section. Unexpectedly, I have a mention in the acknowledgements - "research based feedback and [a] keen eye for detail".
I think that sums up my professional self quite neatly!

If you love cheese, this place is paradise! It's the Courtyard Dairy in Austwick. They do mail order and online tastings (which are fab) but the shop is en route to where we're staying this week so...

When I pressed this, some of the colour ran 😐 Fortunately, I had some tiny heart buttons on my stash & they beautifully covered up the marks. I added others for balance & I think it looks even nicer than it did!
