I know seeing stories like Rob Burrows' scared him, but dad faced his condition with the strength and stoicism Kevin will need on his challenge. I like to think he was there today, too.

Despite the wind and rain, I felt cosy, and part of a bigger whole.

MND charities are close to my heart as three years ago, my beloved dad was diagnosed with MND. Three weeks later, he collapsed and died - his heart stopped beating as the signals just didn't get through.

He's hoping to raise £7,777,777 for #MND charities.

When he stopped, he talked about building community, supporting people, telling us that everyone matters, and we are loved. The warmth and sincerity blazed from him - the Yorkshire accent helped!

The brooch belonged to my mum, born in the post World War 2 baby boom. It has to be more than 50 years old itself, but the message is timeless.

I think it suits me. And there's a good chance it's in my genes somewhere - maternal ancestors of both genders followed the herring down the North Sea coast!

Ah, it's set in Yorkshire. I was born and bred in Derbyshire ... It was only accidental I ended up in Yorkshire. And now I'm in Tractorland 😀

Oh, thank you. I understood George was associated/conflated with the prophet Elijah? But as an atheist brought up in a Christian context, my knowledge is superficial
