Today’s #writing was the beginnings of events affecting my MC in 1976. In reviewing music from that year, I was reminded that Joan Armatrading was released during that Long Hot Summer. I know exactly where I was the day I first heard Love and Affection.

Finished this in the early hours and have thoroughly enjoyed it - an unfinished work whose handwritten manuscript was found at the site of the accident that killed Camus. That made the fatalism and existential thinking all the more poignant, unbearably so. #books #reading
