Jesse Singal, a transphobic bigot who has dedicated a large portion of his career to spreading misinformation about LGBTQ+ people, is baffled that John Oliver would do a single episode debunking his life's work

The Trump regime is working to deter dissent.

Anyone who goes against Trump could end up on a target list.

This is having a chilling effect on five major pillars of society — universities, science, the media, the law, and the arts.

It's straight out of the fascist playbook.

this stuff is happening across the country and even more intensively downstream of the veterans admin but it's happening in so many places at once and without any public notification that it's still only barely emerging in the news
A friend drove two hours today for her breast cancer chemotherapy only to learn it was canceled due to NIH cuts. Clinical trial ended midstream. No treatment, no restart, no plan, no information. Her bro-in-law's chemo was also canceled.

The US invasion of Iraq began on this day 22 years ago.

In the years since, the United States spent roughly $10 trillion on the so-called "war on terror."

Can you imagine if we had instead invested those funds in climate, health care, housing, and education?

Remember: Almost all of us are the descendants of immigrants who fled persecution, or were brought to America under duress, or sought better lives for themselves and their descendants.

Politicians who stoke fear and hatred over immigration want you to forget this.

Do not.

Today, Trump is dismantling much of the Department of Education. He has ordered wrestling executive-turned-Education Secretary Linda McMahon to shut most of her department.

But there’s a much larger story here. robertreich.substack.com/p/trumps-att...
Trump's attack on the American mind
Behind his closure of the Education Department and his assault on higher education, science, libraries, and museums lie the oligarchs of the techno-state.

The current administrations attempts to erase anybody they don’t like/are mad at is giving off the vibe of a bitter divorcee burning down the house he got kicked out of and killing the family dog just for an extra dose of spite.

Kamala Harris wanted to expand Medicare to cover home health care, which would've improved everyone's lives.

She and Tim Walz did a great job explaining it, too.

While Dems are, in fact, in disarray now, no one will ever convince me she didn't run a great campaign.
