Ok so I'm firmly in the "Not everything has to be DnD" camp but I am pretty impressed with Skydawn's Official Phantasy Star ttrpg (based on Esper Genesis, which is Sci-fi DnD).
And I'm super excited for the Official Thundercats DnD 5e 2024 rules compatible ttrpg on Kickstarter right now!

1. There is plenty to say about WotC/Hasbro and how they've handled DnD
B. The whole anti-current edition of DnD attitude has existed at least since 3rd edition (and I suspect much longer)
BUT it still cracks me up that we've cycled back around to a place where it's cool to hate DnD again.
