to develop for iPhone, Apple now requires XCode 16, which only runs on the latest two MacOS releases, i.e if you don't have Mac that runs their OS released 18 months ago, it can't be used for iPhone development. the solution is go spend ~$600 on a new build machine

ITMS-90725: SDK version issue - This app was built with the iOS 17.2 SDK. Starting April 24, 2025, all iOS and iPadOS apps must be built with the iOS 18 SDK or later, included in Xcode 16 or later, in order to be uploaded to App Store Connect or submitted for distribution.

researchers discover an ancient Mayan city on page 16 of google search
The team discovered three sites in total, in a survey area the size of Scotland's capital Edinburgh, “by accident” when one archaeologist browsed data on the internet. “I was on something like page 16 of Google search and found a laser survey done by a Mexican organisation for environmental monitoring,” explains Luke Auld-Thomas, a PhD student at Tulane university in the US. It was a Lidar survey, a remote sensing technique which fires thousands of laser pulses from a plane and maps objects below using the time the signal takes to return. But when Mr Auld-Thomas processed the data with methods used by archaeologists, he saw what others had missed - a huge ancient city which may have been home to 30-50,000 people at its peak from 750 to 850 AD.

AFAIU, the complaint is just that they *could potentially* identify people across incognito, mainly based on IP address, which any website can do
In a statement, Google spokesman José Castañeda said the company is "happy to delete old technical data that was never associated with an individual and was never used for any form of personalization." He pointed out that the lawsuit sought $5 billion in damages, but Google will not be making any payment as part of the proposed settlement.
