As Black women pursue leadership roles, we innately build/join communities specifically for Black women within the workplace. We are oftentimes viewed through the lens of intersectionality, which hinders our career progression. Thus, resulting in us creating subcultures at work. #blacksky

Goodreads is owned by Jeff Bezos. A better alternative is StoryGraph, a Black woman-owned platform. And before y’all start, you can transfer all your Goodreads data to Storygraph so you literally have no excuse.

Frameworks and structured approaches can streamline projects, but when applied too rigidly they can stifle creativity. Rigidity is not the same as rigor. If you are laser-focused on churning out publications based on a proven formula, you might consider carving out some time for free writing.

resolved: people who insist that all social media sites must be places where users are constantly encountering and arguing with people over fundamental disagreement do so because their actual, real lives are echo chambers where they do not encounter any meaningful difference from day-to-day.
