Woke up Tuesday with every joint in my body in pain, and by the afternoon I had a lovely red rash around the injection site that feels like fiery nerve pain. It's finally going down today. Still worth not getting shingles!

Oh! Our pharmacy also had COVID vaccines in on Monday, and so I got that along with my flu and my first shingles vaccination. As I told the pharmacy tech, the shingles are inside me, and I don't want them to come out.

I can't take stimulants because of my heart failure, but at least I now have a direction I can take in looking for counseling. Searching now for a person in my area who treats adults with ADHD.

Roommate (who also has ADHD diagnosis) and sibling (who was with me at my appointment slowly realizing they they, too, might have ADHD) and I are very excited I got an A in ADHD testing, lol.

I also talked with him about getting an ADHD workup, and he said that he finds that neuropsych testing doesn't tend to reveal more than just going through the DSM-5 checklist with the patient, so we did that on the spot, and I got 9/9 on inattentiveness and 7/9 on hyperactivity.

Had second appointment with my new primary care doctor on Monday, and I'm relieved it went well. Got meds updated and am getting a lung workup for the reoccurring shortness of breath I've had since January. A1C down from 8.2 four months ago to 7.2. (Yay!)

As the one who had to talk to her ... ehhhhhh. I'm not really interested in trying to connect with her anymore, but we had to call her for a reason. I don't know how H feels about it. But it's complicated. (I'm just glad she answered the question we needed answered.)

Our birth mother just spoke to us on the phone, and I can't stress enough what a miracle that is.

I moved from MO to OK a year ago, so I'm not fully up on OK lege stuff yet, but that's not at all surprising. Ugh.

Same happened in MO, and now the legislature there is working hard to break the referendum process, after failing a few years ago to get the courts to side with them on repealing the amendment.

That has been very much on my mind, as my sister has been functionally undocumented for over a decade now. (Finally getting it fixed now, thankfully.) It's so hard to fix once it happens.
