Expect "election integrity" reform ahead of the 2026 elections and ramping up of manufactured "threats" by Trump and Republicans.

If you think they won't pull off "martial law" as a way of delaying and punting the election, well, you aren't paying attention, friends.

Justice Sotomayor, dissenting from #SCOTUS's "clarification" of its unexplained June 23 stay in the D.V.D. case:

"The Court’s continued refusal to justify its extraordinary decisions in this case, even as it faults lower courts for failing properly to divine their import, is indefensible."
Over dissents from Justices Sotomayor & Jackson (and a rare concurrence from Justice Kagan), #SCOTUS "clarifies" that its 6/23 ruling staying a district court's injunction against third-country removals *also* applies to the district court's later order requiring a remedy for those already removed:

Alright everyone. Republicans are going to force a vote on their gender affirming care provision even though it violates Senate rules. They’ll need 60 votes to keep it in. Now is the time to make your voice heard and ask your Senators to stand on the side of health care freedom.
Transgender medicaid ban and definition of sex are back in the federal bill - Dems can raise a point of order and force a vote, and as long as we don't lose 7 dems on this, Dems can keep it out.

Definitely worth some phone calls folks.

This means that Democrats will have to raise a point of order on this part of the bill. This would force a vote on the amendment that would require 60 votes. Republicans have 53 Senate seats, so it means they would need to pick off 7 Democrats for this.

Amazing. Every word of what you just said was wrong.

-The US govt is among many sources of information that *at least* many aren't in gangs
-There was no margarita
-Abrego Garcia isn't a human trafficker
-Nor a gang member
Rubio spreads misinformation about Van Hollen's trip to El Salvador and meeting with Abrego Garcia: "We deported gang members, including the one you had a margarita with. And that guy is a human trafficker. And that guy is a gang member."

The GOP's massive bill would give the Treasury Secretary the power to strip tax-exempt status from any non-profit they say is working against the country’s interests.

No trial. No oversight.

Just a political hit job in disguise.
