It's really appalling that in the midst of a preventable surge of measles sweeping across several US states, leading national health authorities are not loudly and publicly recommending vaccination.
How many more children need to die for this madness to stop?

Thank you President Jimmy Carter for supporting the eradication of this disease. Amazing!
Only 10 cases of Guinea worm disease were recorded *globally* last year.

It may become the second human disease we eradicate, after smallpox.

Monoclonal Antibody (mAbs) study buff.ly/UyotGQZ

😀mAb decreased need for oxygen in high-risk patients

😀mAb not later linked to Long COVID, CV disease, or cognitive decline

☹️mAbs use for acute COVID led to >2x risk of new autoimmune dz like Lupus & Rheumatoid Arthritis

Vaccines are so effective that we literally need to look back 100 years ago to see what life (and death) was like with diseases like Measles, Polio, etc.

Protect yourself and protect your neighbor.

Hey California,
Check to make sure that you and your children are vaccinated against measles with the MMR vaccine.🧒
6/ But that protection is fragile. Three converging risks worry me:
🔹A small but real decline in coverage
🔹Pockets of very low vaccination rates (in 5 CA counties, fewer than 90% of kindergarteners are vaccinated)
🔹Rising measles activity nationally, which means more travel-related cases

Must read article from a Minnesota physician about why they care.
"We are bearing witness to what fear can do to the health of a community"
A poignant piece @NEJM about the Minneapolis devastation
"We care for our patients because they are human beings. Our patients are being harmed. People are dying unnecessarily."

Since polio vaccines may be considered “optional,” do you enjoy the following? Walking, being warm, having energy, driving normally, sports, travel, functional bowel and bladder, strong bones

If you enjoy any of the above, then polio vaccines are not optional, they’re common sense #polio #vaccines
I’m a Polio Survivor. I Don’t Want You to Get It.
Polio is once again a public health threat in the United States. Grace is disappointed, though not surprised.
