I've been quite pleased with how well Amazon works for print-on-demand self-publishing. I've written a novel, did the typesetting & artwork myself & have made a few quid (admittedly barely into 3 figures but not bad for a hobby). They have mucked up delivery a few times though.

I'm using it in our software platform to research into tens of thousands of conversations to spot trends & drill into areas of interest. There's the odd wobble over some context & a rare hallucination but it's saving me days of manual slog.

What a weird opinion. You must have been very close to some very filthy blokes. Mind you, I've not looked at anyone else's and am just going off what's normal for me.

Compared to the previous 5 incumbents: a modest improvement, but those are some of the worst PMs we've ever had so it's not that much of a win.
Compared to everyone's expectations: underwhelming.

Yep, 1.3 Popular, 4 door in red. I spent a cruel amount of time applying rust repair & filler to the dissolvable bodywork. It met an unhappy end at a junction in Hull in the late 80s.

My first car was a lates 70s Ford Escort & a quick bit of faffing with the distributor cap & the points setting would have knocked it out of action very easily. In fact, I spent quite some time trying to persuade it that the points were actually fine and it should bloody well behave and start.

Eddy, the ship's computer on Heart of Gold, is my favourite. All the enthusiasm of Clippy ("Hi there! It looks like you're visiting Magrathea, do you want to purchase a planet?") but with a certain amount of inept fatalism.

Nothing so far. Was it definitely a factory-released version and not an offering by a performance specialist? I guess the fact that Valerie's car is also a very rare soft-top points to it being something far from standard. Much like herself.

It is a stupid word, joining two near antonyms into a word that I know means the opposite of one of them but can never remember which. It's like saying "that car is a real speedslow" to mean a very quick car. Probably why the song goes "Hey, Big Spender" rather than "Hey, Spendthrift".
