Parent of a toddler here.

He is not doing strategy with this rally stuff.

He is agitated and engaging in self-soothing behavior
Trump can go to Pennsylvania, mock the topic of affordability, lie that prices are way down, but that won’t change the trajectory. Holding a rally with supporters laughing along with him about affordability doesn’t make him look any less untethered from reality & the actual struggles of Americans.

Trump’s EPA has removed mentions of human-induced causes of climate change from its websites. An EPA spokesperson said the agency “no longer takes marching orders from the climate cult.” No, it takes orders from a man bought and paid for by Big Oil.

Hopper chose to fight sexism by ignoring it, focusing on her work and outperforming expectations. Known for her engaging lectures and inspirational quotes, she mentored many young people in computing. President Obama awarded her the Presidential Medal of Freedom posthumously in 2016. /end

Hopper’s high military rank later in her career helped neutralize some of the gender discrimination she might have faced in the corporate world. However, she was voted “Man of the Year” by the Data Processing Management Association in 1969, an ironic reminder of the prevailing gender norms. /6

Hopper retired in 1966 at age 60 but was recalled to active duty in 1967 to standardize the Navy’s computer languages. She remained on active duty until she finally retired as a rear admiral in 1986 at age 79. She was the oldest active duty commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy at the time. /5

After the war, Hopper worked for the Eckert-Mauchly Computer Corporation and developed the A-0 compiler, which translated mathematical code into machine code. She devised the theory that programming languages should use English commands and developed FLOW-MATIC, which later became COBOL. /4

Hopper joined the U.S. Naval Reserve in 1943, obtaining a special exemption because she was 15 pounds underweight. She was assigned to the Harvard Computation Project, where she became one of the first programmers for the Mark I, one of the earliest large-scale electro-mechanical computers. /3

Hopper earned a bachelor’s degree from Vassar College in 1928 and a Ph.D. in mathematics from Yale University in 1934, a rare achievement for a woman at the time. Despite her academic excellence, she faced prejudices against women while pursuing her degrees and teaching mathematics. /2

Republican propaganda.

Notably, there is an interesting correlation between Rubio's order Hitler banning a font by using a Third Reich scapegoat.

bsky.app/profile/rura...
Hitler, through Goebbels Ministry of Propaganda, banned Fraktur in 1941, proclaiming the font was of "Jewish origin." The Nazi regime decreed the Roman typeface as the official font of record.

I doubt Marco knows Nazi font history but I bet Steven Miller whispered it in his ear.

Coincidence?

But tonight, Dems in Athens were out in FULL FORCE to swamp that gerrymander.

How to Get Rid of "Citizens United"
We can do away with it without a new Supreme Court. Nor do we need a constitutional amendment. There’s a far simpler way.

The President's Affordability Tour begins with a central message: Cheer up. You can easily do without and enjoy it. And it teaches your entitled kids a healthy lesson. Also steel. That's a real need.
Trump: "You can give up certain products. You could give up pencils. Because under the China policy, every child can get 37 pencils. They only need 1 or 2. They don't need that many. You always need steel. You don't need 37 dolls for your daughter. 2 or 3 is nice. So we're doing things right."

Here is a true story.

During Trump’s first term, The Post got a tip that his doctor — the guy with the long hair who signed that first “healthiest guy ever” letter — wanted to spill the beans. He lived in Westchester, up near where I lived at the time. So I was tasked with talking to him. 1/
