If you think about corresponding letters between Hebrew and English, both by position and how the letters come from common roots, the transliteration of the Tetragrammaton should actually be JEFE, which @merriamwebster.bsky.social defines as one "who exercises control or authority".

I see that the media has given up on hiding spoilers for Olympic results. IIRC even 2 years ago you'd get alerts like "RESULTS OF THE TEAM TIDDLYWINKS FINALS" and you could choose whether or not to click through. Now it's all "NEWS ALERT: DUCHY OF GRAND FENWICK WINS GOLD, SHOCKING US!"

It's time to revisit the Reapportionment Act of 1929. We're now up to each member of the House representing about 700K people. Let's triple the size of the House from 435 to 1299 or so.
