just tested the TLV1871, looks like it's a worthy successor to the LM311! the package is a bit of a handful to solder though, but otherwise I love the ±15 V capability and the push pull output

I made a silly noob mistake and fried a brand new comparator... but that's another chance to redo the board (with input dividers so I can set a threshold!) and send it off to @aisler.net 😋

second one... and this is one of those designs that I'm personally not really happy with, but I'll have to put up with it because it's a "test" board and I am too tired to think of something prettier (laying it out took two weeks) ...
