In argument, in how it is presented and asserted, but also in the genuine display of both ignorance and tacit arrogance. Especially when most people in a given field really seem to hate the tools as they exist

Also as you have mentioned we are in this space with AI because the AI boosters went on an antisocial rampage advertising their technology as life destroying so now people are mad that their lives are going to be destroyed (they will not be destroyed)

Discrediting the centre and right on policy isn't exactly difficult, given [gestures expansively at everything]. But it's never going to be achieved purely by combative confidence and a slick messaging style. You either back that up with genuine substance or the facade will crumble pretty quickly.
