“Considered progressive by many during his lifetime, Vance was also a slave owner and is now regarded as a racist by some modern historians and biographers.”

Yep, pretty sure if you owned slaves you were a racist.

What do you think of something like this? Funding local news sites that show value by being able to get locals to give themselves?

Prob better than funding local news by whatever the program officer at a foundation likes.

Alas we likely won’t be able to replace the workforce through pro-natalist policies alone.

If only there was another way to increase the number of people in this country!

Having debated some of them-I am not sure if many are just contrarians as opposed to folks having any sort of moored ideological bent.

It is funny how the de facto response by both the left and the right is to do nothing about homelessness. The right doesn’t want to provide shelters and the left doesn’t want to compel people to use them. Guess which side usually wins when people are scared?
December 30, 2025 at 6:20 AM
This is 100% correct, I am pretty sure it will pass statewide and it will make it harder to implement the middle path Wilson has laid out that is already under assault by Peacock leftists.

Shelters get people some level of care - but the left and the right fight the only scalable option.

They don’t brush over it all, it is much of the narrative of the first article in the series.

Crowds will be a bit crazy that time of year in Kyoto, however the Moss gardens are ticketed )unlike most other sites) so crowds are controlled. But reserve early:

I’ll vote for whomever Mayor Wilson endorses. The mayor deserves a county that is not working cross purposes of his agenda.
December 23, 2025 at 6:23 PM
This is why it would be great to have parties/coalitions for local government.

At the very least I would love to see Mayor Wilson spearhead a shared county/city agenda for 2026 and endorse candidates committed to a specific course of action.

If it takes 5 years just to return the statue how long would it take to get a new statue? I doubt under 20

The funny thing is he is the type of immigrant Trump wants.

Not sure why you would leave a Nordic country for Mississippi tbh.

December 11, 2025 at 10:52 PM
I did. My question to you is what do you want the city to do in order for you to support not allowing people to sleep unsheltered?

I have read the article. I want to know what you want.
December 9, 2025 at 2:32 AM
I really would like to know. Must the city provide everyone with a one-bedroom apartment before you would allow sweeps to occur?
