Great to hear how clean energy is impacting local communities at our Clean Energy Drinks with @renewableuk.bsky.social
Excellent speeches from Becky Gittins, @noahlawmp.bsky.social,Tracy Gilbert and Jane Cooper highlighting just how important net zero is for driving investment in local communities
@noahlawmp.bsky.social emphasises the need for investment in HMRC to increase visibility of the wealth in our country to boost the enforcement and collection of existing taxes.
Phil White, of @patmillsuk.bsky.social then speaks to how, as a millionaire, he wants to live in a vibrant society.
Will Snell of @fairness.bsky.social asks @noahlawmp.bsky.social about backbench MP support for wealth taxation; Noah speaks to the work of the Labour Growth Group and that “tax and growth aren’t mutually exclusive”.
Great to be here at #LPC25 today, and wonderful to meet @noahlawmp.bsky.social. Noah says: "#Cornwall needs #HeatPumps to bring down bills. Delighted to see that my constituency #StAustell and #Newquay is already doing well, in top 10 per cent nationally".

Today, Labour introduced the Hillsborough Law, ensuring truth, candour and justice.
As a lifelong Liverpool fan, I know how deeply the Hillsborough disaster has scarred families, survivors and our wider community. The tireless fight of the families and campaigners has made this possible.
Look forward to discussing #debtjustice with NGOs in Parliament today
Keen too to hear from those in sovereign debt who think we could have better-functioning markets that ensure orderly restructuring processes, helping both developing countries & the majority of lenders negotiating in good faith

Labour MP @noahlawmp.bsky.social explains why it’s time for Keir Starmer to start treating the billionaire X owner as the ‘foreign extremist’ he now is
"Debt is quietly undoing decades of progress. Right now, at least 1 in 3 developing countries are spending more on interest payments than on health care or education." @noahlawmp.bsky.social on the urgent need for a debt justice law
In DEFRA questions on Thursday, I raised the alarm on the issue of dry day spills of #sewage. I'm glad that, under our watch, the @envagency.bsky.social has now shone a light on the issue. The acid test, however, will be if the new, single strengthened regulator takes action and prosecutes.
When immigration is turned into a weapon it is our democracy that suffers. Reform UK’s plans would strip away rights and decency at the very moment people are asking for fairness and workable solutions.
It’s vital that victims & the public see justice being done.
I spoke to @ecourea.bsky.social about this Government’s commitment to restore confidence in our criminal justice system, the Unduly Lenient Sentence scheme & Reform’s weakness on law & order ⬇️
Following on from my chat with @garyseconomics.bsky.social I’m launching my Parliamentary Research Fellowship. Help shape the conversation around tax and wealth inequality in the UK: noahlaw.co.uk/fellowship/ Pro-growth, pro-equality, cost-neutral: Are you up to the challenge?
Public trust in traditional development aid is waning but we haven't lost our compassion - people want to see a level playing field for developing countries which, right now, often spend more servicing external debt than on health or education, undermining the effectiveness of aid #GlobalDebtReform
I have been calling, since April, for our Government to undertake a process of unilateral recognition of Palestine, and very much welcome the PM’s statement yesterday.
Palestinian statehood is an inalienable right, and it is fundamental to restoring dignity, hope and the prospect of lasting peace.
To do this based on imported goods would be a contradiction in terms, particularly when Cornish workers and mineral resources can play such a central role in Britain's industrial growth.
Good announcement from the Chancellor today. I too have written to Cabinet Ministers urging them to make the most of our Cornish critical minerals in building our domestic clean energy supply chain.
I'm ready to work with like-minded parliamentarians, economists & campaigners to try and turn thinfs around. If you are doing research in this area, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
