We saw these on our way back after a sunrise hike and I was so excited! Especially since we hadn’t seen any on our excursion up to the top of the Grand Mesa the day before.
These majestic animals are fairly elusive, but very rewarding to see in the wild!

It was there again today! I got freaked out but was able to determine with a high degree of certainty that it’s part of Amtrak inspection. It was a little unsettling in today’s environment to see a black helicopter flying so low and hovering so long. Glad it’s actually something routine!
