Fall time! Finally got out and did another 14er, enjoying the start of some colors. Hope everyone gets to enjoy some fall colors, wherever they are

It's obviously been quite a long day... Here's a bit of a TL cleanser with Boogie going crazy for a squirrel and stick

Did the DeCaLiBron this weekend; was a fantastic time (including getting snowed / sleeted on!)

Spent the week down in the stunning San Juans. Very frustrating that I was nowhere near as strong as I was previously - but it really translates into an excuse to get back out there. Definitely need to spend some weeks running (once cleared by the Dr), then tackle the 14ers again with a vengeance.

HUGE: Senate Parliamentarian says that Mike Lee's public land sell-off violates the Byrd rule, requires 60 votes in the Senate. A bunch of other terrible anti-environment provisions do too.

This isn't over, but this is a huge win.

Not saying that Dems don't need to change (they absolutely do) but this is also just misleading and a poorly written question. It open-endedly asks who they think best represents the Dem. party. The top person was AOC, and she only got 10%

Very thankful to spend today on the slopes with no service, as opposed to doom scrolling as per usual. It's very scary what's happening, and sometimes it's hard for me to tell the difference between staying informed and negatively over-focusing on the evil of this administration.

I used to work at the Forest Service Headquarters in Washington, DC during Trumps first term.

Here’s what he is saying, in real words and why it’s really really important.

Merry Christmas, folks! From Boogie and me, we hope and pray everyone has a peaceful day, celebrating or relaxing however is best for you. Family, church, just eating well - hope you have had a stellar day.

Some pics from our trip last year, especially with Boogie who refuses to look at the camera:

Let me just say, driving from Colorado back to Iowa on the solstice means waking up and starting the drive for 3 hours in darkness only to finish the drive in darkness kind of sucks. Love winter, but ready for the longer days.

Did have a great sunset the night before, tho (pic doesn't do justice).

Also, unrelated, but I got to visit San Diego for work last week and saw one of my most favorite animals - sea lions - out in the wild. A stellar experience

Boogie and I went leaf peeping last weekend, and what a blast! We managed to find an area for just us and hung out

For Röki we had the idea of "predator cameras". We'd try to always show the gameplay from the undergrowth, to give the subtle impression you were being watched by the forest

Hiked Longs Peak yesterday, and what a journey! Saw a moose (and its baby!), made it across the very sketchy narrows, and up to the peak at 14,259'. This makes 14/58!
