Business guy on CBC uses age old business guy/conservative trope that it takes soooo long to build a pipeline because of all those pesky environmental regulations and indigenous rights. China builds things faster!

Number of people experiencing homelessness in Ontario "up by 2 x" says galaxy brain marketing guy on CBC business panel, also he says he's said before on CBC that we've had a lost decade of productivity (citation needed, I guess).

Is the fed-Alberta oil pipeline MoU just a shiny object Carney gave to Danielle Smith to rub in bed at night as she ruminates about Alberta separation, vaccines, and chem trails?

Well, he had a revolver, so we're going to say the shooter shot six times - US Attorney for Washington DC.

Fed-Alberta pipeline deal includes "billions" in investment in carbon capture, realistically described as setting billions of dollars on fire. I guess that money put into renewable energy is not on the oil stained table.

Fossil fuel propaganda on cp24, they interview a former oil executive who is a proponent of Alberta's new oil pipeline proposal and talks about increasing capacity, the value etc. Blows off climate concerns by criticizing emissions cap. No guest to talk about environmental concerns. Both sides!

I have some serious concerns about the political leaders in Canada. Carney, Smith, and Ford in particular. They are pretending climate change does not exist. If there is any more proof needed that Canada is nothing more than three mining companies in a trench coat.
November 25, 2025 at 3:16 PM
Canadian politicians 100% believe the only way forward economically is to get foreign investors to bankroll resource extraction projects to get those sweet, sweet temporary construction jobs. Construction jobs building renewable energy infrastructure, public transit, housing, nope.

CBC for some reason interviewing failed premier Jason Kenny, who was not cunty enough to be Alberta premier, to insult the premier of BC. The whole interview is premised on climate change not happening, and resource extraction being inherently good and necessary. Thanks Rosie.
November 23, 2025 at 4:28 PM
Jason Kenny, noted for not being cunty enough to be Alberta premier, downplays indigenous opposition to oil pipelines (GOING THRU THEIR LAND) saying elected chiefs are in favour of every land destroying project. Sure they are, they are part of the colonial system.
November 23, 2025 at 4:25 PM
Nothing is funnier than conservatives and especially conservative politicians like Jason Kenny, not cunty enough to be Alberta premier, pretending that carbon capture and sequestration is a good idea. They're supposed to be pro business. But pretend ccs is somehow feasible (it's not).

Jason Kenny, not cunty enough to be Alberta premier, goes full ad hominem on BC premier
November 23, 2025 at 4:18 PM
Jason Kenny, noted for not being cunty enough to be Alberta premier, says oil exports generate more jobs and more wealth than any other export industry. Is that 'wealth' counting all the profits of foreign companies draining from Canada?
November 23, 2025 at 4:12 PM
Yesterday on CBC, Lisa Raitt said Canada gets four billion dollars for producing parts for the F35. That sounds really high, unless she means over the lifetime of the program in which case that seems like a huge overstatement on the economic importance of the F35 program.
November 21, 2025 at 11:06 PM
JD Vance said some dumb shit about Canada on X. It doesn't matter what it was, Vance is the epitome of the say anything guy. He's a spokesperson for whatever bad idea somebody gave him. There is literally nothing there. The emptiest of empty suits.

Any time you want to hear something incredibly stupid and disingenuous and Lindsey Graham isn't available, Tom Cotton is your man. What in the actual fuck is wrong with the people of Arkansas that voted for this scarecrow stuffed with putrid shit?
Cotton on Trump's boat strikes: "Use common sense. If any of these had been boats full of fisherman or refugees, CNN would've already been on the ground & interviewed all their families & told their stories. We can be confident all of these strikes have been against cartel-based drug traffickers."

It's pretty cool how everybody is in favour of a system in which we systematically destroy the environment so that some lucky bitches on the other side of the planet can have gold toilets and a fleet of Rolls Royces. See how this is good for Canadian workers? We get those sweet construction jobs.
November 20, 2025 at 2:25 PM
Canada UAE deal: UAE invests oil money in environment destroying resource extraction projects and keep the profits; Canada gets to sell resources to UAE at a discount. See how this is a big win for Canadian workers?

Most people, really: yeah I guess it's ok we ruin everything so a few people get rich as long as I feel comfortable enough and we can all be united in persecuting already marginalized people for no other reason than to see them humiliated. Yes, really.
