Canada isn’t broken. But an electoral system that lets someone spend over $2 million for a do-over after neglecting his constituents? That’s what’s broken.

We deserve better. This is #OurHomeOurRiding in #BattleRiverCrowfoot

Unlike Trump, PM Carney negotiates in private.

Elbows up, keep your powder dry, stay united, Canada. 🇨🇦

It just frustrates the hell out of me when people call out Carney, when they have NO IDEA what’s going on behind closed doors. If we are to win this we have to stay united, we saw what happened during the pandemic when people couldn’t see the big picture, a divided public will only serve Trump.

Beware: weaponised nostalgia is the new face of climate denial. Not 'the science is fake', but 'We had it bad in my day too - remember '76?'.

It reassures, distracts – and delays the action we urgently need.
‘Remember ’76?’ isn’t a climate argument
Britain’s 1976 heatwave was an outlier in a stable climate – not proof today’s crisis is normal

The quickest cooling centre policy #Ottawa can do in this week's extreme heat emergency is make transit free outside peak periods. The buses roll full or empty. Nearly every vehicle has AC.

Illinois follows the law — we expect the federal government to follow the law, too.

We won't participate in abuses of power.
We won't violate court orders.
We won't ignore the Constitution.
We won't defy the Supreme Court.
We won't take away people’s right to peacefully protest.

At 87 he came to the Kingston Rd vigil to denounce genocide.
The honourable David Crombie showed up at Grandmothers Against Genocide vigil.
They represent the best of CDN politics -from both sides of the political isle.
Honoured to know them.

Pierre Poilievre, speaking to caucus yesterday, referred to what I can only assume are the anti-genocide protests as “rampaging antisemitic riots.”

He got a standing ovation.

For seemingly pledging to crack down on people who want a genocide stopped.

Very “free speech” of him. Fucking foul
