Another name I've seen floated on the EdSec short list is Cade Brumley, the Louisiana Superintendent of Education. Louisiana is one of 9 states who've announced formal partnerships with PragerU, whose announcement included an interview w/ Brumley by PragerU CEO, Marissa Streit.
