Allegations that I am a venomous space lizard from the future are false. I do not represent my employer. He/him
I played it about half on deck, and graphics-wise it was awful. That was back in the spring, I don’t know if they fixed it now. It is a shame because the game is downright beautiful, and is otherwise 10/10, but unfortunately my experience on deck was not good

Dogs get out sometimes, I don’t fault someone for their dog getting out. All I’m saying is be responsible and take it seriously when it happens, because it can be unsafe for the dog and humans alike

End rant

Like, this is not a thumbs up ok sign situation! Your dog could get hit by a car! Your dog could bite a kid! Come out here and get your dog!

NOT a friendly dog! immediately clocks me when I step out of the car and starts HOWLING. After a minute of this, a human appears in the window and I’m trying to holler like “hey your geriatric unfriendly dog is outside unfenced in the freezing cold!” And she just gives me a thumbs up and ok sign

So this morning I’m driving to work and there’s a beagle out and about, unattended. It’s wandering in and out of the road and a yard. White face and skinny. I assume this dog is not supposed to be out, so I pull over even though I’m late and try to call the dog over to me.

The water gets boiled and then the vapor is collected by condensers to be reused.

I need to emphasize that I have no idea what I’m talking about. Just seems like it should be possible. Hard, but possible.

Got an email that execs will be doing floor walks and want to see people in their cubes.

But if all my meetings are in person, then I won’t be at my cube very much.

But you know I’m at my cube anyway bc all our goddamn meetings are still on goddamn Teams

So what the fuck am I doing here, again?

But I love a good eldritch horror game and it is definitely delivering on that front. So far I’ve dealt with teeth-people, a rat king, and a painter who is has created horrible disfigured living self portraits whose existence is only pain and anguish. And I’m only a couple hours in. Good stuff!

Just started Look Outside yesterday, the beginning of my fall run of spooky games. Enjoying it a lot but there are some UI QOL things that I just feel like I’m bonking my head against way too much. Navigating menus involves a lot of clicking and for some reason gamepad support is bad.

I liked it, with a couple buts. First the aforementioned lack of gamepad support. Second was the last like 2 hours of a ~7 hour game just felt like a slog. I could have been scrolling TikTok and it wouldn’t have made a difference, truly an idler. Great if you are looking for Progress Bars: The Game

Tower wizard is an incremental/idler that I actually downloaded like a month ago for a beach/roadtrip game, but the gamepad controls are no good so I only picked it up again over the weekend.

I read some reviews of ppl saying this game was too easy. Idk that wasn’t my experience. It wasn’t punishingly hard and I won most runs. I never felt like I had one oopsy or RNG BS that ruined an otherwise solid run. Felt very “read the descriptions and you’ll usually be fine” and I appreciated that

Star Vaders is a roguelike deckbuilder where you pilot a mech fighting an alien invasion, heavy focus on positioning. Great game! Seven pilots and three mechs, all of them are equally great.

I like it a lot for like 15 hours and then the repetition set in. I’m not into 100%ing but I did want to see all the endings, but eventually the rng and grind got to me. Just felt I wanted a little more depth throughout the game. But the music is 11/10 and the npc hitchhikers are excellent.

Keep Driving is a game about road tripping in the early 00s. Drive around picking up hitchhikers of varying degrees of cool/creepy/sad/rad and do odd jobs while lazily making your way to a music festival, or maybe rehab, or jail, or street racing glory, or a cabin in the woods, etc
