My niece is into dragons, particularly the How to Train Your Dragon franchise. So... what do you reckon? Will she like it?

Pattern by Imagined Yarn.

It has open wings held up by wire and stares straight ahead with a determined expression. I am also told that Masterfoods donated the sauce so it's actually helping the school and not just a marketing gimmick!

Ooops forgot alt-text. It's a close-up of a large masterfoods tomato sauce bottle but the label says "Democracy sauce".

Local public school democracy sausage now comes with... democracy sauce!

@notsolonecoder.bsky.social just did a fantastic talk about using web assembly server side at @everythingopen.au 25, so I tried to get some practise in again for my #sketchnoting

"Okay ladies, so this is why we don't mix fonts on the covers..."
Romance novel where it looks like "The ASS He Left Behind" instead of Lass, because they mixed fonts like a little silly billy

Oh that is definitely beginning to happen!

It's been sooo satisfying learning to crochet this year! As a software dev I don't usually create actual physical things, especially not ones that are cute!

Finished these just in time for Christmas. 😁
(Pattern by AradiyaToys)
Crochet Santa doll with a red hat with fluffy white trim and pompom, big white beard and bushy grey eyebrows. The head is about 3 times the size of the body, making it very cute. Crochet Christmas elf doll with green hat, green tunic with red collar and a big yellow buckle on his belt. His big head and slightly worried expression looks extra cute, and there's a little tuft of brown hair poking out from under the hat. Crochet Mrs. Claus doll, she's wearing a red dress with white fluffy trim and her grey hair is in a bun with a red band and a poinsettia flower on it. Her oversized head has smiling embroidered eyes and pink cheeks, making this one the absolute cutest of the three.

Fair enough, these things are difficult! I'll figure something out. :)

On that note - I have no expectation of it arriving before Christmas or even the new year, so it can also wait until after the Christmas rush.

Ah, that'd be it! Just gotta find a way to ship it here. (I am happy to pay exorbitant international shipping costs if you are willing to provide that - even if it exceeds the cost of the calendar itself).

hmm.... I'm in Australia - is it only available to people in the US? Looks like when I load the page through a proxy I can see the calendar.

Oh I love this concept! My nieces are getting into the hard-to-shop-for teenage years so I need a way to make giving them cash a bit more fun! 😅
