Last week, I spent time with Ryan Crosswell as he knocked on doors in suburban eastern Pennsylvania.

In fiscal year 2025, 21 detainees died in ICE custody making it one of the deadliest years in the agency's history.

My analysis of the deaths found the majority were men from Latin American countries, with an average age of 45.
