We'd be an extremely strong "great" country if we had a congress full of Andy Kims and not one full of Tom Cottons.
We can start with separating the Attorney General and DOJ from the executive branch. The AG should be an elected position, similar to most states. Until we have that separated, we can create new frameworks, but if the DOJ won't hold an administration accountable, it's all just words on paper.

When you have a DOJ and FBI that are part of the ‘police state’ working on behalf of an evil dictator, they do NOT investigate to find a motive. They are given a desired motive and their job is to find or create evidence confirming that motive.

I think this is a really important point to keep in mind.
The monsters didn’t rise alone. Liberal elites—politicians, media, civil society—failed to act when it mattered. They kept mistaking rhetoric for resolve, promising guardrails but never building them.

With regard to the national guard deployments into DC, why are no major network reporters simply asking "Why?". And pursuing that line of questioning relentlessly. Something's not adding up and nobody seems to be asking the right questions.
