Working on AI exploration in the office of the CTO at Microsoft. Goofing about here looking for the gnarl. Robotdad in most other places.
I've seen posts from people over there bragging about the money, ~60k follower accounts. Not life changing or livable in the west, but not insignificant either esp considering what the money is for from their eyes. Low effor posts. In reality, keep people there and red pill them.

I think something underappreciated is that Musk pays people to be on fascist cesspool. Those big 50K+ accounts? They are making money for posting low effort takes and rage bait. That goes for your favorite AI influencers as well. It isn't just the AI "community" is there, it is $

Not ready to post anything, still polishing for handoff, but this thing is at 50k+ lines of typescript and is coming along nicely

I wind up in the web version at work for reasons, just checked my phone and nope. I'm a bit surprised it wasn't force installed by my work profile. Thanks Apple?

The mods were terrible. Long before llms I started grimacing whenever I got a stackoverflow link for search. It was often my problem with a mod closing as already answered even though the answer was five years old. Tech never cahnges right? I think LLMs put the nail in the coffin for sure, but still

There is a market for artisanal furniture, but not nearly as big of one as there is for IKEA mass-produced product. And we are going to need to have the reckoning about our industry getting automated out from under us and artisanal techniques no longer being state of the art or economically viable.

I’ve lived in Huntington Beach, SF, and Palo Alto. When we moved up here I thought it would be a short stay. After 20+ years every time I go back I’m like nope. Definitely nice, things to enjoy, but even more than taxes it is the cars. No thanks. Local travel there is atrocious.

Another for me is Raising Arizona. Knew nothing more than the poster in the newspaper, my brothers and I did not want to see a baby movie my mother chose. We died laughing the whole time, she and her husband were visibly angry over the subject matter. The bikers in the theater made it even better.
