I asked Jeeves (actually Gemini) about progress with LLMs learning chemical language of ants but I forgot what it said.

I looked again just now and it says there actually are beginning projects starting but they're still a long ways from coherence. Most of the chemical stuff is for drug companies.

This is argument to decentralize executive power, nothing against POTUS, except repeated centralization of executive power across the political spectrum since Roosevelt.

Mike Gravel was our last candidate to suggest decentralizing, 2008.

AR-14s won't protect anyone from Reagan's Star Wars Program (Strategic Defense Initiative) particle beam accelerators mounted on satellites, nor sling shots vs microwave cannons mounted on tanks.

Glossectomy is not currently an enforced legal punishment anywhere in the world. It is considered a form of judicial corporal punishment or mutilation, which is widely banned under international human rights law as a cruel and unusual punishment.  Timeline of Glossectomy as Punishment Glossectomy (tongue removal or maiming) was historically used as a severe punishment, but it has not been a contemporary legal punishment for many decades.  Antiquity/Medieval Times: Tongue excision was often the penalty for crimes like heresy, blasphemy, or treason. The aim was to prevent further utterance of an anti-religious or rebellious nature. 19th-early 20th Century: While documentation is sparse on the global legal application during this time, most countries in Europe and North America had moved away from such corporal and mutilative punishments, viewing them as barbaric. Mid-to-Late 20th Century: The practice was universally considered a human rights violation and was definitively outlawed in almost all jurisdictions. Present Day (2024-2025): Glossectomy is a surgical procedure performed exclusively for medical reasons, such as to treat advanced tongue cancer or severe sleep apnea.  While some countries still practice other forms of judicial corporal punishment like caning or flogging (e.g., Brunei, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Singapore) or, in rare cases, mandated surgical castration (Louisiana, USA, under certain conditions if the offender agrees), no current legal system uses glossectomy as a penalty for crime.
