Taking just seconds out of yea day to put water in a bowl every morning and evening you can maybe help something not die in the heatwave and that seems worth it. Also you can just enjoy the wildlife and get a sense of well being.

People of color, pay attention. They expect us to not just be perfect, they also expect us to fit into the boxes of standards they have created for us in order for us to deserve the most basic of human rights. If you don't meet their standards of conduct, your life is worthless to them.

Y’all it’s hot as fuck. Dangerously so. Thankfully I keep cold water in my car. There was an unhoused friend looking grim on the interstate. I gave him my water. Keep water on hand and share if you can. Being kind is easy. ❤️🫶🏽

I first heard the phrase "woke" in the mid 2000s. Conscious Black folks used it as code. Around 2013, "woke" became popular online. It became mainstream when Childish Gambino's "Stay Woke" song was in Get Out in 2017. Make no mistake, the attack on "woke culture" is an attack on Black people.
