This is the main opposition. Ha’penny mugs me for a cuddle. As well as being Top Cat, he does all the conventional things like purring and snuggling. He even licked my nose the other day.

Darius. He’s 17, and no longer knows which way’s up. He smells a bit. All our cats were abandoned as kittens. But he still gets on my lap, and sometimes has the sense to settle down comfortably. If he makes it till the spring, he’ll probably enjoy being outdoors again.

Ha’penny stayed outside in the rain till he was nice and wet. Then, after the manner of his kind, he’s got on my lap to clean and to dry himself off on me. When he’s done, he’ll get off, leaving me with wet cold patches on my clothes.

In the middle of washing up but sat down to give my sciatica a rest so Ollie took advantage.
Went shopping yesterday to avoid doing so at the weekend. Forgot list so I’ll have to go back in a bit.
-2° this morning but mild wet weather on its way.

I had a little steak, with kale and pepper sauce. Ha’penny jumped on the table and demanded cuddles. He then licked where the steak had been, and after reflection, quite a lot of the pepper sauce.
