This is such a great idea. We visited Haarlem this fall and the streets are so quiet and so many people of all ages walking and biking.

The result of slowing drivers in Bend would be safer streets for all users. Not only people of all ages who walk, roll or bike but also drivers. Safer streets would encourage more children to travel independently to schools and parks and friends.

We can do better in Bend if we imagine the future instead of just continuing to live the past.

As a school crossing guard, I endorse this idea!
