I’m hopeful that the city is moving to safer streets for all of us. Thank you for your work on this very important topic. What would Bend be look like if the original street grid and street design had been continued on the east side? Slower, safer streets, walkable neighborhoods? Perhaps.

Thank you for working on this matter. It seems to me that the home buyers were sold a bill of goods by Palisch Homes regarding commercial development. Perhaps a food truck pod could help this situation. It would also be a good site for an east side farmers market.

I am excited by the possibility that the Bend City Council will lead the effort to engineer our streets to be safer for all of its citizens. The street standards need to address safety first and traffic level of service last.

This is such a great idea. We visited Haarlem this fall and the streets are so quiet and so many people of all ages walking and biking.

The result of slowing drivers in Bend would be safer streets for all users. Not only people of all ages who walk, roll or bike but also drivers. Safer streets would encourage more children to travel independently to schools and parks and friends.

We can do better in Bend if we imagine the future instead of just continuing to live the past.
