Here’s something good instead: in New Orleans we were talking to some locals who told us about their favorite restaurants and I was thinking how great all of the diversity of local accents and fun local cuisine across the U.S. is. What a big beautiful country we have here. It belongs to all of us.

This is the sustainable outlook for any institution, any profession (even, dare I say it, any professional) - to be driven by values.
From my own niche: institutions of higher education should stop chasing trends, work internally to assert a set of values, and then build curriculum around those values.
just a collection of "inevitable" multi-billion dollar tech that was going to be the future of everything until everyone in the audience who was supposed to just get on board said "lol no"
