Yes, but then it means people with lower income can't travel at all. I'm just saying it's not surprising that young people don't travel much by train- DB in Germany is a horror and super expensive. Austria at least has great discounts for students and those under 18 y.o.

I mean- when you have RyanAir tickets going for 8€ from Vienna to Manchester... Speaking from a student's perspective- totally unaffordable.

I'm not surprised... The tickets for these sleeper trains are almost always just as expensive as flights, and there are no real regulation for women's safety on board.
