But seriously, you guys need comms people. Like you're saying that people need not face consequences to the choices they've made or the harm they've done if they post a comment about an adorable cat. I'm not a psychologist, but I guarantee there's a term for that sort of deflection.

If she wants to post about cats she should probably hire someone to do bsky related comms for her.
I'd suggest she could address the issues as to why the userbase is angry with her, but from what I've seen it does not look like she would handle that well.

But if you're just doing a "normal" story driven game, just tell us the story and be done with it. I mean I may not even make it to the end of your story to begin with as I'm pressed for time because of all those Spires I have to Slay.

It is also kind of the basic point of roguelikes, but there your main incentive to replay is that it is literally different every time and the story is usually... nebulous, at best. (Please don't look at how many hours I've logged on Slay the Spire.) /

This can be done well, of course: RE2's new game+ essentially gave you four complete stories/playthroughs (and may have in fact been patient 0 for this issue, in much the same way as LotR is fantastic yet should still be punished for the effect it's had on fantasy media). /

There's this thing modern games do where you have to jump through all sorts of flaming hoops and replays to get the "real" ending and like.... there's not a subscription model here. You don't need to keep us locked in, you already have our $60.
Tell your story and be done with it. /

I think it's worth mentioning that this sort of intellectual property landlordism is incompatible with the Internet. You can't want all:

a) Content you upload to the Internet being private
b) Content you upload to the Internet being accessible
c) Computers and the Internet like you understand them

This is just how computers work, data has to be transmitted to the user system to be reproduced for viewing. You either make that difficult, like in closed social media, or you want an open social media with open clients which make that easy.

Because AI models do not in fact reproduce their training contents, it’s trivial for companies to train on anything they want and just not disclose it, and you can’t really do anything about it
