I've done the same as I'd rather they practice on me than someone frail and I've got enough patient experience to provide useful feedback. I've got useful veins too

It's a shame HMS Alliance is no longer seaworthy. Mum's dad worked on her while she was being built and dad worked on one of her refits. Both sides of my family worked at the shipyard.

Was somewhere like that. School was in Alton and we saw them in a scout hut in the Lightwater-Ascot area

We'd been invited through school. Matthew was really apologetic as the whole thing was aimed at much younger kids (disability assumptions by the organisers) and taught us tricks with flash paper and the like.

Met Matthew and Sooty at an event when I was about 14. Sooty was prime Sooty and Matthew was funny and warm.

Possibly in the case of two vessels in open water, especially if the powered vessel is overtaking. Both vessels have a duty to avoid collisions. It's the limited manoeuvrability of a sailing vessel in the specific circumstances that would be the dictating factor

COLREGS don't work like that. See vessels burdened by means of their draft for example. The Solent is full of people getting it wrong most summers

There's another one in November too! Three people in my year at school had birthdays on 13th. I noticed they'd all be the same day of the week in non-leap years

I'm from the south coast of England and speak English. I generally use fire appliance or fire engine, occasionally fire tender. Through work I'll often refer to pumps and specials when speaking about multiples at incidents
