I don't understand why there wasn't a nationwide movement of die-ins organized across the country, just like there was when the ACA was on the chopping block. I hope we still have time to stage a HUMONGOUS die-in in DC this morning to stop the passage of this god-awful bill.

This 15-fold increase of the ICE budget when $ is being ripped from Medicaid and clean energy initiatives is a clear sign of warped, fascist priorities and should be a clear warning to all that this bill must not pass.

We’ve leapt over a lot of red lines in the last week. But one I find most worrying is Trump/MAGA/ICE have ceased even pretending to claim some criminal pretext for cracking down on protected speech. It’s just straight up “if you criticize us, you’re getting throttled/arrested/disappeared.”
