- I think I can fit 695 MB on this CD-R for the car
- Goodness that's burning quickly, i thought i said 8x
- oh well it finished and verified ok, let's grab it and head out the door
- it's not working, maybe an incompatible file system? But I thought it got it right...
It was a DVD-R.

I have spent the entire day either humming the opening trombone line Ray gave to himself, or the "ba ba dum"s of the women's/trumpet line. Catchy as anything.

The webcomic xkcd has elicited many emotions in me over these long years, most often confusion. A gentle tear has not been a common reaction though. Just a few times, including today.

Also, in other early 90s chart observations, Hothouse Flowers had a number 1, platinum album here without a top 20 single. Genuinely well done to whoever decided to push them to the albums market.
