Hey, you know that noise you can sometimes make when you're setting up a perfectly normal, not shonky at all cut on the table saw and, just as you reach out to remove the digital angle block from the 10" cross-cut blade, the air compressor kicks in behind you?

I made that noise this afternoon.

The pope needs to do an Undercover Boss to his hometown. Walk around the streets, greeting immigrants wearing jeans and Sox cap. Video of the goon squads pepper spraying the pope would probably sway some opinions.

When I came in from the shed a moment abo I brought with me a small sharp, 'self-tapping' screw which I screwed into my indoor broom where the hanging handle kept falling off the shaft.

It took less than 30 seconds.

I had been meaning to do it for 8 years.

I could have used my micrometer, which is analogue but a) it's imperial, and b) it is is the house and I was in the shed.

I had a spare battery in the shed anyway.

It troubles me that I’m starting to feel the same way about Bluesky that I do about the UK. Like: it sounds great, and some of the people I know are great, but the leadership is making some weird choices and I’m a bit worried it may all be over in a couple of years.

I have many different types of soy sauce, Happy Baby (mushroom), dark, Golden Mountain (light), kecap manis (sweet), but I just noticed I was almost out of the famous Japanese table soy sauce, so I asked Google to add it to my shopping list.
