The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.
The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.
People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.
And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

We sold out 2 tamale vendors, bought out 2 more vendors, and absolutely swarmed a family owned bakery. It was a good day with some the very best of #BikeChi 🥰 for the 4th installment of the Street Vendor Bike Tour. We persist. ✊🏽

Music at the salon was not to my taste but as soon as I sat down the #old must have taken over because it was under the bridge and stray cat strut and kiss (prince) and pyt....and it was good.

Hi hello, your friendly neighborhood museumhead here with a PSA that if you live in NYC or have ANY opportunity to get to NYC before February, the Ruth Asawa exhibition at MoMA is the best thing I’ve seen all year.

Yeah, this part makes me the craziest. My brain is my favorite thing about me. Why would I intentionally trade it for a ridiculous substitute?

If you’re wondering what a “least weasel” is, they absolutely live up to the name. This is the least amount of animal you can have that can still meet the bar for “is weasel”

More paintings. Maybe I'll do a short series of studies on just dogs in portraits (the best part), I really enjoyed it.

Got expensive smoothie to mark the day - due to schedule changes, i won't have this route between sites anymore, which includes a 3-way stop with a freeway offramp right of way that creeps me (visually impaired in a way that makes the timing of things challenging) out.
No more scary offramp!

tfw you're gen x and you want to post a gif from Heathers - specifically, Veronica's mom saying "Oh, you two" - and realizing that it's now very niche and/or obsolete - but that clip lives rent free in your head, and is a perfect reaction sometimes.

Teachers: We need your client to nap.
Teachers: *keep room light, talk at regular volume and louder, don't turn music on until ten minutes in*
Client: *calm, awake, asking what the teachers are doing*
Me: *headdesk*

You ever have a day where you can sense the autistic meltdown for hours and hours and just when you think you’ve gaslighted yourself into being okay suddenly you’re crying over the spilled cereal on the kitchen floor?

It was a night full of vivid dreams. My favorite one was when about a dozen miniature pygmy hippos took shelter at my house because of the dangerous animals outside. They were not much larger than guinea pigs, and I didn't know that they were so numerous until the danger subsided.
