If anything, I would expect them to be more likely to turn around if something breaks than an airline for something they could theoretically fly with broken, since they don’t have a fleet of identical planes at the destination to swap with. Easier to switch at home than risk more trouble abroad.

To me the scary part isn’t so much the creepy photo thing (although it is bad) as the immediate threats if you so much as ask what’s going on. 0 to 100.

Is it possible that it’s like that precisely because everyone thinks as you do, bullied into suppressing their conscience and blinding themselves to what is right?
