Literally sitting here most of the day reading and writing comments, looking through stuff that’s been posted, and my fiancé leans over and goes “good for you, babe, being in the community again.”
And yeah, it is good 😌

The moment we land in Texas, I swear, my fiancé instantly regains his accent and suddenly has a pair of cowboy boots on standby.

Viola Fletcher, the oldest living survivor of the 1921 Tulsa race massacre, has died. She was 111.

"I have lived through the massacre every day. Our country may forget this history, but I cannot," she told Congress in 2021.

Geoff Bennett has more.

This 2018 episode covers the period in the late 1820s when north Georgia became the site of a gold rush that predated the California gold rush by two decades. It's also tied to some of the darkest parts of US history regarding the treatment of Native Americans.

thank you to the commenter who felt the need to inform me I’m in has-been territory. As if I didn’t know that. 👍

I’m out of the loop everywhere, work is a mess, and holiday anxiety has me by the effing throat rn.

But I did get to wild a sword like a ballet dancer today. So. Not all bad.

Yes, we did do small theater The Nutcracker in the woods today. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

How is it that no one in the wedding process wants to address my fiancé? Only me?

Not our vendors.

Not our parents.

Literally everything comes to me. He’s not even CC’d on it. It’s all my responsibility because I’m the bride.

I would like to not be the bride. I would like to be “the couple.” 🙃

I keep saying I’m not going to over extend myself with my writing. I’m not going to fret over something not being read. I’m going to be better about it all, I’m—

I’m going to sit here, planning a story with 22 chapters, over 140k words, knowing it’s going to just gather virtual dust.
