Anyway @shaylamyers.bsky.social was correct in 2024 and she's also correct now.

"Nothing about LA’s history suggests they will stop using criminalization to erase the signs of visible homelessness from the eyes of the international press. But the city does this on any given Tuesday"
The Grants Pass ruling gives LA's leaders a legal pathway to do what many of them have been attempting to do for years — expand the city's anti-camping laws in the lead up to 2028

I certainly would not have been able to write my story about all the bravery I witnessed in Minneapolis without the access I was given! bsky.app/profile/whst...
I would really appreciate if journalists who have done ridealongs would speak up about how important they are to helping Minneapolis. As I’ve said many times, opsec fears are the greatest threat to the networks we’ve built. But the reason we’re out here is to show the world what’s happening.
Ridiculous. @chrislhayes.bsky.social did a ride-along that was played on @ms.now last night - the piece threatened nothing and was good 'publicity' for the cause. Hopefully they'll come around for you, Will. Thanks for what you're doing for our city & state.

This is Rubio-level dereliction. The right way is in front of his face, he senses it. He’s just too dumb to act.

New from me:
What’s going on in ICE detention isn’t just lethal (a 20-year high of 32 deaths last yr; 2 in a single facility this yr).
It’s leading countless people to “choose” to give up their cases. Which was the core of Miller’s ‘23 mass deportation plan. linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=https%...

Don Lemon is not the only reporter who was arrested by federal agents overnight — local independent journalist Georgia Fort just went live on FB to say federal agents were also at her door to take her into custody over her protest coverage in Minneapolis.

incredible opportunities right now for an honorably discharged private first class with the last name Hitler
The desperate search to find decorated US soldiers that happen to share the same last name as Confederate generals is one of the funniest spectacles of this whole Administration.

Democrats hold firm, not a single dem voted for cloture.

Social Security has a payment accuracy rate of over 99 percent. Only 0.3 percent of Social Security benefits are improper payments, which are typically caused by mistakes or delays.

That's better than any private insurance company.

this is bad bc of this dude's position, but it is not a new policy for the archive to remove old social media posts when individuals make requests like this.
The Internet Archive has removed its archives of individual tweets from the account belonging to DOGE staffer Marko Elez.

The WSJ reported yesterday that this account belonged to Ekes, and that many of these tweets were racist and led to his resignation.

yep, we lost on numbers. but the good news is only 2ish dem assholes threw trans people under the bus. if democrats show this kind of solidarity, the senate can't pass this law.

if anyone wants them, i'll adjust call scripts for senators to align with congressional arguments & post them tonight.
