I’ve been playing with the phyphox app, for experiments with your phones sensors. This is the magnetic spectrum detected by the phones magnetometer placed against a tiny desk fan. Those circles must be from how the fan is driving the motor it uses?

I've been testing my Raspberry Pi Pico based CoderDojo KU robot and made a simple wall avoiding behaviour on it, in #micropython. Although it's now on Micropython, I added back the cute Mario tune on startup because I liked that.

This is some pid line following. I tried to see if it would follow the outside of the sheet, but that just confused it.

I should show you what I did on another robot with WAGOs 221s… I used them to bridge between some fit0450s and the 6 pin inventor hat mini motor connectors. Handy with pigtails.

What am I working on? Building a bunch of robots and activities for them for Coder Dojo KU. The design is based on rp2040 running micropython. Mostly off the shelf, but needed a couple to 3d printed parts.

We can’t do polls here, but for a Raspberry Pi rover would people prefer to add:
The arm: 4 servos, £47
The gripper: 1 servo, £24.50 (although there's 1 < £10)
Pan and tilt: 2 servos, £18.90.

What have been up to this week? Building robots of course. I was investigating new chassis platform ideas, and then moved onto Raspberry Pi main ideas - it was time to try new ones instead of my go to ideas.
