100%💯
What I find funny is that group chats I think are busy, has my teenagers telling me are ghost-towns compared to what they are used to.

Also the cheaper LED tubes have the strip visible, and tend to be single end connection only, meaning some fuss to get them the right way around. One set of connections is a dummy type.

That way, nobody needs deal with OS package warnings unless they mean it, all the pip commands work, installing 3rd party managers isn't needed (pip install pipx, pipx install poetry anyone...).

While a separation of OS packages and those for user apps makes sense, somewhere we made it too confusing. Perhaps some standards - make pyproject.toml + pylock.toml standard, make a subdir of a project a venv relative to nearest pyproject.toml, and make these the default places pip/python run from.

I sent this to Belkin support:

"A route should be provided for users of these - e.g a github protocol spec for them so users can find a way to continue using them.
This is extremely bad faith from Belkin and is disappointing in a previously trusted brand."

Automated tests to ensure code is at least not dead on arrival is a minimum. A full sanity suite is something anyone making/selling software should be aiming for. Software quality can be improved, but too often people are caught up in building sprinkles with not enough time to test is not broken.
