There is only one viable detour, which is SR-55 to SR-91 to I-15 to SR-78 and back to I-5. This detour adds an additional 80 miles or so. The delay and impact to commerce and interregional traffic will be devastating. Local traffic will need to be turned around in Carlsbad and San Clemente

Why has the public been kept in the dark? This is going to be a disaster and inconvenience to so many people. I hope no one dies sitting for hours in traffic.

My mom who died from Covid was a nurse. Covid was raging I was not able to hold her hand when she was dying because no one was allowed in. I would call 2x a day and talk to the various nurses. I would tell them my mom was a nurse and to please take care of her and they did.
