My fav trap used was a carpet-covered pit trap with a bell next to it.

The player didn't ask about the out-of-place carpet but instead declared, "I ring the bell!"

You're allowed to not like a thing other ppl like, the same way those ppl like a thing you don't like.

Divergent tastes support a larger ecosystem of games, so I think differences like this are to be celebrated. Too many ppl are eager to say someone is "wrong" for liking or disliking a thing.
